I know that for a a 1st post this is going to seem kind of ignorant but maybe someone can give me a ballpark response. I have a set of A7's I acquired back in the early 80's. I knew the owner and he built the cabinets with a kit and plans. So, sitting here at work I don't know the exact components and some may need some work. All I really know for sure is that each one has a 15" LF Driver and a 15" horn mounted inside the cabinet. (They have been stored for the last 10 years) Can someone give me an idea of what these might be worth with that much information or ??
Thanks

Hello there!
The value of your A7's in monetary terms really has to do with which low frequency drivers are in them.
515's are the most valuable, followed by 416's and then 421's, which I own. I scored my pair on an expired eBay auction for 450 clams and wouldn't sell the for twice that.
Bottom line, minimum 450, since the cabinets are not genuine Altec.
I'd recommend keeping them. Consider what it would cost you to replace them. I'm 48 years old, been into audio for over 30 years and I couldn't live without my Altecs. Have you heard them through a vacuum tube amp???
Peace
Lee
